Rocketry
Coble Geophysical Services volunteers when time allows to work with village schools providing short in-service and coursework for K-12 classrooms in subjects of their interest ranging from math, geoscience and chemistry.

This volunteer work grew from similar efforts originating in Homer, Alaska, where Coble Geophysical assembled a team to create a large pumpkin-throwing trebuchet for West Homer Elementary - and has consistently led a multi-week course in model rocketry for the 5th-graders each spring for many years.
COVID made this activity difficult – as with everything – but 2024 seemed to bring back modeling success once again for these 5th graders (Launch Day this year: May 10, 2024).
